Tony Rogers, director and co-creator of the AFI-winning comedy series Wilfred, has a slew of film and television projects underway.
These include TV series, Bruce, FUNTV and Fear Parade. And features, 4th of July and The Man Who Stopped Time.
Having directed and produced the original short film Wilfred, Tony was able to translate its popularity at Tropfest, Sundance, Cork and other festivals, into an Australian TV series of the same name.
Tony directed and co-created series 1 and 2 for the Australian network SBS. Following a successful screening on US cable, the Wilfred format was sold to FX in US where it is now into series three. It has created a huge fan base and stars Jason Gann (the original Wilfred) alongside Elijah Wood.
Prior to the Wilfred series, Tony made the feature film Rats and Cats which screened at international festivals before enjoying a successful Australian theatrical release and screening in France and the US.
